There are no Labrador Retrievers on any of the 1,000 planets in Starfield, because Bethesda has wiped them out.
The information comes from the well-known Twitter account “Can You Pet the Dog?” which specializes in providing crucial information for numerous video games. It announced the bad news in its depressing Starfield issue. Despite appearing in the concept art for Starfield, Labrador Retrievers still need to be included in the finished product. A specific item’s description also makes a solid case for the extinction of Labrador Retrievers and maybe all dogs.
This information relates to an in-game item named “Starfield’s Chocolate Labs,” described as “Centauri Mills” chocolates, shaped like an extinct canine called a Labrador retriever. This item offers 1,000 points of destruction and five points of health.
The story of Starfield takes place in the year 2330, although it needs to be clarified precisely when Bethesda thinks the Labrador Retrievers perished in the 300 years that separated our time and the game’s setting. Although Bethesda did publish an official timeline of the events in Starfield, the passing of these cherished dogs was left out.
Before its September 6 official launch, Bethesda’s eagerly awaited space journey has already significantly influenced the sales statistics. In addition, players smashed the early access period by finishing it in under three hours.
Players also use the Starfield ship designer to create legendary ships from well-known series like Star Wars and Star Trek. Finding Easter eggs that link Starfield to other Bethesda games like Skyrim, they are setting out on exploratory adventures. Additionally, a passionate community is hard at work creating mods to provide features that might need to be added to the basic game.
