Final Fantasy 16 DLC and PC Port Confirmed

For fans of Final Fantasy XVI, Square Enix has released some exciting news. Two paid DLC additions will be added to the game, and a PC version is already in the works. Producer Naoki Yoshida acknowledged the suggestions and needs of the Final Fantasy XVI community, though more details on these enhancements still need to be made public.

Yoshida stated, “We’ve been closely monitoring the feedback and reactions from our devoted Final Fantasy XVI players, and one resounding request has been for a deeper exploration of Valisthea’s narrative and more time spent with its inhabitants.”

In light of this, Yoshida officially announced that the production team had begun work on two paid DLC expansions. The good news is also for those eager to play the most recent Final Fantasy game on PC.

Finally, Yoshida said, “While Final Fantasy XVI was published as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, we are aware that many of you have been requesting for a PC version.” So, allow me to use this occasion to officially announce that work on a PC version is presently under progress.

Yoshida urged fans to remain tuned for updates as he expressed the team’s aim to share more details regarding the upcoming DLC and the PC release before the year’s end.

The game will also receive a thrilling free update today, bringing about several improvements. The addition of a new weapon called the Onion Sword, various clothing for a number of the characters, and the capability to change the appearance of Clive’s weapons while keeping their original stats are all included in this version.

Producer Yoshida had initially intended no DLC for Final Fantasy XVI, but Square Enix changed their mind after hearing positive fan feedback.

Currently, the game is only accessible via the PlayStation 5 for at least six months. Are there any future intentions for an Xbox Series X|S release now that the PC version has been formally announced?

Final Fantasy 16 will be recognized as a turning point in the development of mainline Final Fantasy games since it emphasizes action-oriented fighting
